The death of a student within university halls is being treated as unexplained.
Emergency services were called to Alexander Court on the University of Stirling campus at around 2.20pm on Friday following reports of the sudden death of an 18-year-old man.
The university says it is working with police and is offering support to students and staff impacted.
A spokesperson said: “Our thoughts and deepest sympathies are with family and friends at this difficult time.
“The University is liaising with the police and ensuring that students and staff are fully supported.”
Investigators are treating the death as unexplained, however, they do not believe there are any suspicious circumstances.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 2.20pm on Friday, February 7, 2025, officers were called to the Alexander Court area of Bridge of Allan following the sudden death of an 18-year-old man.
“The death is being treated as unexplained but there are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances. A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
