A suspect has been charged in connection with attempted murder after a man was hit by a car in Edinburgh.

Emergency services were called to the hit-and-run on Lochend Drive at around 9.50pm on Tuesday, February 3.

A 36-year-old was taken to hospital for treatment following the incident. The vehicle involved fled the scene.

Officers have since charged a 31-year-old man in connection with attempted murder.

A second man, aged 35, was arrested in connection with attempting to pervert the course of justice, however, he has been released pending further enquiries.
