iStockA suspect has been charged after a man was allegedly stabbed on a street in Edinburgh.
Emergency services were called to Nicolson Street at around 7.20pm on Friday following reports of a serious assault.
A man was taken to hospital for treatment after the attack.
Officers have charged a 23-year-old man in connection with the incident. He is due to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Monday.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 7.20pm on Friday, April 10, 2026, officers received a report of a serious assault on Nicolson Street, Edinburgh.
“A man was taken to hospital for treatment.
“A 23-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection and is due to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Monday, April 13, 2026.”
