A teenager has been charged with mobbing and rioting following disorder in Edinburgh on Bonfire Night.
A 17-year-old male was arrested in connection with several serious offences following disorder in the Sighthill area of the city.
He will appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Thursday.
It comes after multiple police and fire crews were hit with projectiles whilst attending incidents throughout the Central Belt.
There have been 14 arrests made in connection with fireworks-related offences over Halloween and Bonfire Night across Edinburgh.
Detective inspector Stevie Dick from Edinburgh CID, said: “While we were delighted with the significant reduction in offences this year, we will not become complacent in our efforts to identify and apprehend those who choose to use fireworks in a dangerous, reckless, or illegal manner.
“Our inquiries will continue, and if you have any information relating to incidents that took place this year, then please contact us via 101, or make an anonymous report to the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
