Teenager 'stabbed' and robbed of e-bike in city park

The teenager was seriously assaulted while at a park on Wednesday evening.

A teenager has been “stabbed” and robbed of an e-bike at a park in Edinburgh.

The 16-year-old was at Baronscourt Park around 8.40pm on Wednesday when he was seriously assaulted and robbed of his electric bike.

The teenager was taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh.

Police are treating the incident as a stabbing and have appealed for anyone with any information to come forward.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 8.40pm on Wednesday, July 30, 2025, a 16-year-old male youth was robbed of his electric bicycle and seriously assaulted in Baronscourt Park, Edinburgh. 

“He was taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh for treatment. 

“Enquiries are ongoing and anyone with any information is asked to contact 101 quoting reference 3680 of 30 July, 2025.”
