A teenager is in custody after breaching the terms of his home detention curfew.
An appeal was launched last week to find 19-year-old Jamie Bain after the breach.
Members of the public were warned not to approach Bain, who is believed to have connections in Edinburgh and the Borders.
Bain had been recently released from Her Majesty’s Young Offenders Institute in Polmont before going missing.
In a statement, Police Scotland said: “Police Scotland can confirm that, Jamie Bain, whose whereabouts we had been appealing for information about following a breach of a home detention curfew, has been traced and is in custody.
