Three men have been taken to hospital after emergency services were called to a flat fire in Fife.
Police, fire and ambulance crews were dispatched to East March Street in Kirkcaldy following reports of a blaze at around 1am on Wednesday.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service mobilised three appliances to the scene and extinguished the blaze at around 1.56am.
Emergency services attended, and three men, aged 59, 55 and 32, were taken to Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy for treatment for smoke inhalation.
Enquiries into the incident are ongoing but police said there are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 1.05am on Wednesday, February 5, 2025, police were called to a report of a fire at a property on East March Street, Kirkcaldy.
“Emergency services attended, and three men, aged 59, 55 and 32, were taken to Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy for treatment for smoke inhalation.
“The fire was extinguished by the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service. Enquiries are ongoing, however, there are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances.”
A spokesperson from the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said: “At around 12.45am we received reports of a dwelling fire on East March Street, Kirkcaldy.
“Three appliances were dispatched to the incident. The fire was extinguished at 1.56am.”
