Three people have been rescued after being cut off by the tide on an island near Edinburgh.
The group became stranded on Cramond Island in the Firth of Forth just after 11am on Friday.
The island is connected to the shoreline by a causeway that can only be crossed at low tide from the village of Cramond.
The tide came in on Friday while the group of three was still on the island, leaving them stranded.
The coastguard said the RNLI Queensferry inshore lifeboat went to the scene and brought the trio back to shore at Cramond Village after they dialled 999 for assistance.
South Queensferry Coastguard Rescue Team also went to assist.
They were back on shore by around noon and were said to be safe and well after the incident.
