Relatives of a woman who died after a motorbike crash have said they have “so much hurt in their hearts”.

Shirley-Ann Barnes, from Kilmarnock, was riding her Yamaha Virago bike at Pirnhall Stirling Services roundabout when the crash happened at 4.45pm on Sunday.

It appears the 57-year-old lost control of the motorcycle which then left the road near the A872 junction.

Emergency services attended and she was taken by ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.

However, she died on Thursday from her injuries.

Her family said in a statement: “”We have so much hurt in our hearts, but at this sad time, we find comfort in how much Shirley-Ann meant to so many people, especially in the biking community.

“She will continue to ride with everyone still, she will be so very missed.”
