Two people have been charged after police found £74,000 worth of cocaine and heroin in a car in the Hailesland Grove area of Edinburgh.
The incident took place at around 11.30am on Friday after officers executed a stop and search on a man who was found to be in possession of cannabis.
Further enquiries led police to a car which was parked nearby.
Officers searched the vehicle and found large quantities of cocaine and heroin with an estimated street value of £74,000.
Two addresses in the Wester Hailes and Pilton areas of Edinburgh were also searched as part of the investigation and cash was recovered.
A man and woman, both aged 21, were arrested and have now been charged in connection with drugs offences.
They are due to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Monday.
Detective Sergeant John Dunn said: “We work tirelessly to remove illegal drugs from communities every day and remain committed to disrupting the activities of those who supply drugs.
“We cannot tackle this issue alone and would urge the public to continue supporting us in building intelligence about the possession and supply of drugs by contacting Police Scotland on 101 or anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
