A man and woman were taken to hospital after a crash involving a motorbike and a van on the M9 near Falkirk.
A 43-year-old woman sustained serious injuries in the incident at around 4.25pm on Tuesday, February 16, and she was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital. Her condition is described as stable.
A 48-year-old man was taken to the Forth Valley Royal Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The road, at junction 7, Kinnaird, was closed for around 11 hours while Police Scotland carried out a full collision investigation.
Police are asking for any witnesses or those who were driving in the area with dashcams to get in touch.
Sergeant John Lang, of Police Scotland’s Forth Valley Road Policing Unit, said: “We are appealing to other road users who may have witnessed the crash to get in contact with police.
“One woman has sustained serious injuries as a result of this incident and we are keen to establish the full circumstances.
“I would ask if anyone was driving in the area at the time or has possible dashcam footage that could assist with our investigation that they get in touch with officers.
“Police can be contacted on 101 quoting incident number 2171 of February 16, 2021.”
