Two suspects charged after man attacked in 'murder bid'

Two suspects have been charged after a man was attacked in Edinburgh in an alleged murder bid.

The 38-year-old man was attacked in Calder Gardens around 4.10pm on Thursday afternoon.

He was taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh for treatment following the incident.

Two men, aged 25 and 21, have been arrested and charged in connection with the attack and are due to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Saturday.

Police said enquiries into the incident are ongoing.
