Two teenagers have been charged after reports of a masked gang facing off with knives near Edinburgh Waverley Station last month.

Police were made aware of a group of men causing a disturbance on Princes Street around 7.20pm on October 13.

The area was searched, and no suspects were traced.

In video footage seen by STV News, a group of three could be seen confronting two others in the middle of the street, with all involved wearing black balaclavas.

Some of the group appeared to be brandishing knives.

Following investigations, an 18-year-old man has been arrested and charged and will appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court at a later date.

A 15-year-old male was also arrested and charged, and will be reported to the relevant authorities.
