Police are appealing for the public’s help to track down a missing man from Falkirk.

Officers said they have “reason to be concerned” for Matthew Hume’s welfare and are “urgently” asking anyone with information on his whereabouts to get in touch.

The 50-year-old was last seen in the Dunkeld Place area of the town during the early hours of Monday morning.

He left his home in a red Renault Clio – registration HY60 XZT – and has not been seen since.

A force spokesperson said: “Officers have reason to be concerned for Matthew’s welfare and urgently ask anyone with information about his whereabouts to come forward.”
