Police ScotlandA search has been launched after a schoolboy disappeared near a wooded are in Fife on Sunday.
Ethan Petrie was last seen around 8.50pm at a forest near Woodburn Road in Glenrothes.
The 12-year-old is described as around 5ft 5ins, of slim build, with short, fair hair. When last seen he was wearing a dark coloured hoodie and body warmer.
Inspector Gavin Alcorn said: “Concerns are growing for Ethan’s welfare and we need to make sure he is safe and well.
“We are asking anyone who has seen Ethan or knows where he might be to get in touch.”
Those with information are urged to call Police Scotland on 101, quoting reference number 3202 of Sunday, November 9, 2025.
