The moment a dolphin swam along kayakers under the Forth Bridge has been captured on camera.
A group from Driftwood Adventure, an outdoor company based in Edinburgh, were stunned when the “unexpected visitor” swam in between them on Saturday morning.
The dolphin joined the group for around 20 minutes as they were paddling at South Queensferry.
The clip, posted to Facebook, has been viewed over 500,000 times.
Hugo Foley, co-founder of the group, said it’s the first time in five years they’ve had an encounter like it.
He added: “It was an incredible surprise, the dolphin appeared alongside our kayaks for a short while before heading back out toward the Firth of Forth.
“We occasionally spot seals in the area, but dolphin sightings are very rare, so this was a really special moment for everyone involved.
“It was an incredible reminder of how lucky we are to share these waters with such amazing wildlife.”
