A woman is fighting for her life in hospital after being hit by a car in Stirling.
Emergency services were called to the scene at the A9 near Airthrey Road at around 10am on Thursday.
The 23-year-old pedestrian was taken by air ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow, where medical staff described her condition as critical.
The driver of the Kia Niro car was not injured.
Road policing officers are appealing for information as part of their investigation into the crash.
Road Policing sergeant Scott Kirkpatrick said: “I’m appealing to anyone who was in the area around the time and saw what happened to get in contact with police.
“I’d also ask drivers with dashcams to please review your footage to see if you’ve captured anything which may assist our investigation.”
The road was closed to allow for crash investigations to be carried out and reopened around 2.10pm.
