A woman has died after being struck by a car on the A90 near Edinburgh.
Emergency services were called to the road near the Kirkliston slip road at Cramond Bridge at around 11.10pm on Monday, following reports of a crash involving a red Ford Focus and a pedestrian.
A 36-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
No other injuries were reported.
The road was closed for more than ten hours.
Sergeant Michael Thomson, of Road Policing East, said: “Our thoughts remain with the family and friends of the woman who died at this difficult time.
“I am appealing to anyone who was driving in the area at the time and witnessed the crash to come forward with information.
“I’d also ask that those with dash-cam footage review this to see if it has captured anything of significance.”
