An investigation is underway after the alleged rape of a woman in a car garage on Sunday.
Emergency services were called to the Peter Vardy BMW premises in the Seafield Road area of Edinburgh at around 1.35pm on November 3 following reports of a serious sexual assault.
Officers arrested a 34-year-old man in connection with the incident. He was released pending further enquiries.
An investigation into the incident is still ongoing.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 1.35pm on Sunday, November 3, 2024, we received a report of a serious sexual assault of a woman at a premises in the Seafield Road area of Edinburgh.
“A 34-year-old man was arrested in connection with the incident and released pending further enquiries which remain ongoing.”
A spokesperson from Peter Vardy said: “We are cooperating fully with the Police and will communicate further when we are able to do so”.
