Woman found dead in park in 'unexplained circumstances'

Police are probing after a woman was found dead in a park in “unexplained” circumstances.

Officers were called the to the Calder Park area of Bo’ness, near Deanfield Road, at around 9.15pm on Friday after receiving reports of a 33-year-old woman falling unwell.

Upon arrival, a 33-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

The death is being treated as “unexplained” but police said they do not believe there are apparent suspicious circumstances involved.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were called around 9.15pm on Friday, July 5, to a report of a woman unwell in the Calder Park area of Bo’ness near Deanfield Road.

“Emergency services attended and a 33-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

“The death is being treated as unexplained but there are no apparent suspicious circumstances and a report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.”
