A woman has been taken to hospital after being “stabbed” in an attack near a supermarket in Edinburgh.
Emergency services were called to reports of a stabbing near the Tesco store on Duke Street at around 10.15am on Tuesday.
A 30-year-old woman was taken to hospital for treatment following the attack.
A 25-year-old man was arrested in connection.
Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 10.15am on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, we were called to a report of a 30-year-old woman seriously assaulted on Duke Street, Edinburgh.
“Officers attended and a 25-year-old man has been arrested in connection. Enquiries are ongoing.
“The woman has been taken to hospital for treatment.”
