A man has been arrested after a woman was stabbed in a house in Fife.
Emergency services were alerted to an incident in Leishman Drive, Dunfermline, on Wednesday morning.
Police said a 42-year-old woman was taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh for treatment. Her injuries were described as serious, but not life-threatening.
A 49-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were made aware of a disturbance at a property on Leishman Drive in Dunfermline around 9.10am on Wednesday, December 9.
“A 42-year-old woman has been taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh for treatment. Her injuries are described as serious but are not considered life-threatening.”
“A 49-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident and enquiries are ongoing.”
