Amy Macdonald among stars bringing in the bells on STV

A host of stars from the entertainment world will help celebrate Hogmanay from the comfort of their own living rooms on STV.

Amy Macdonald and her footballer husband Richard Foster, TV presenter Gail Porter and comedian Fred MacAulay will be among those kicking back on the sofa to celebrate their favourite moments of 2021.

Bringing in the Bells will also feature Still Game stars Sanjeev Kohli and Jane McCarry, broadcaster Jean Johansson, wrestler/actor Grado and STV News duo Laura Boyd and Sean Batty.

Under the watchful eye of Lorraine Kelly, the show will peer into their living rooms as they chat through the best telly moments, sporting glories, celebrity gossip and major news stories of 2021.

They will then join viewers across the country for the customary Auld Lang Syne singalong as the clock strikes midnight.

Amy Macdonald said: “I feel like this year has flown by so quickly, so it will be great to take stock of it all and recap the best bits for Hogmanay – all with a glass of fizz in hand, of course.

“Whether Richard and I will agree on our favourite moments is another story altogether though…”

Bringing in the Bells is on STV and the STV Player from 11.30pm on Friday, December 31.
