Bob Vylan have announced a Scottish tour date, months after their performance at Glastonbury sparked a criminal investigation.
The punk rap duo will be performing at Glasgow’s O2 Academy in November as part of a six-date tour of the UK.
In a message to fans, members Bob and Bobbie said: “After all the attempts to silence us, we’re about to be louder than ever.
“We won’t go quietly!”
The announcement comes after Avon and Somerset Police launched an investigation into the band’s performance at Glastonbury festival in June.
During the performance, rapper Bobby Vylan chanted “death, death to the IDF (Israel Defence Forces)”.
Police said they had received a “large amount of contact from people across the world” in relation to the performance.
Rap trio Kneecap also faced an investigation into their performance, which was subsequently dropped due to insufficient evidence.
In a statement posted to Instagram after the set, Vylan said: “Teaching our children to speak up for the change they want and need is the only way that we make this world a better place.
“As we grow older and our fire starts to possibly dim under the suffocation of adult life and all its responsibilities, it is incredibly important that we encourage and inspire future generations to pick up the torch that was passed to us.”
In light of the performance, a campaign was launched to have them axed from the Boardmasters festival in Cornwall.
Organisers said they had decided that the band would be allowed to perform in a “respectful and safe environment”.
The duo, formed in Ipswich in 2017, have released four albums addressing issues related to racism, masculinity and class.
BBC director-general Tim Davie will face questions from MPs on its Glastonbury coverage on Tuesday.
Tickets for Bob Vylan’s show in Glasgow go on sale September 12.
