Elephant Sessions and Capercaillie lead The Gathering Festival line-up

The Gathering Festival will return to the Highlands next year.

The first waves of acts have been revealed, with Elephant Sessions and Capercaillie leading the line-up.

Other acts on the bill so far include Peatbog Faeries, Manran, Torridon, Heron Valley, Project Smok, Heisk and the City of Inverness Youth Pipe Band.

Following two consecutive sold-out festivals, The Gathering will make its third outing in Inverness and will celebrate the very best music, culture, food and drink across Scotland.

Dougie Brown, event producer, said: “We are over the moon to be announcing the line-up for the third Gathering Festival in 2022.

“Delivering this year’s event was extremely challenging but resulted in an incredibly special event for everyone involved from our staff and suppliers to artists and audience.

“We can’t wait to welcome everyone back to Inverness next May and enjoy some of the best music from the Highlands and Scotland.”

The Gathering Festival will take place at Northern Meeting Park, Inverness, on May 28, 2022.
