Fans of hit novel One Day have been given a sneak peek of a new Netflix adaptation based on the book, which was partially filmed in Edinburgh.
Due to be released on February 8, the series will follow the story of Em and Dex, who meet at Edinburgh University in 1988 on July 15.
Each episode will see the pair reunite on the same day, also known as St Swithin’s Day, as they navigate life after university and forge their careers and adult lives.
The novel, by David Nicholls, was previously made into a movie in 2011 and starred Anne Hathaway as Emma and Jim Sturgess as Dexter.
Nicholls will serve as executive producer on the series.
The new Netflix series stars Ambika Mod as Emma, known for her portrayal of Shruti in This is Going to Hurt, and Leo Woodall as Dexter, who recently starred in The White Lotus.
Earlier this year, Mod said the television show will cover more of the novel than the 2011 film adaptation, as the book spans two decades.
Filming for the series took place in Edinburgh at the Old College, West End and the Old Town.
