Scots actor James McAvoy admitted that he will ‘start fighting people’ after two whiskies in a recent interview.

McAvoy made an appearance on LADBible’s YouTube show Snack Wars in which he was asked to rate Scottish and English snacks.

During the show, the Split actor chose between the likes of Dandelion and Burdock and Irn Bru as well as a deep fried Mars bar and sticky toffee pudding, which put Scotland and England at a draw.

The third round of snacks saw a single malt whisky go up against the “boujee” espresso martini.

After trying the drink, the 45-year-old admitted that if he had more than two whiskies, he will “start fighting people”.

“I love whisky, but if I have two of these I will start to get like ‘why you using that lens? Why would you use a 25? You don’t wanna use a 35, you don’t think my face can take it aye? Smart move mate, smart move’,” he said.

“That what will happen if I drink more than two of those, and I know I’m going to take so much heat for that, but (whisky) will make me fight people.”

After explaining his decision, McAvoy said: “So as much as I love my homeland, I am going to say, I cannae drink it, I’ll just start fighting so it’s got to be this boujee espresso martini.”

Ranking the espresso martini above whisky put English snacks and drinks above Scottish ones, at 2-1.

The lead was short-lived however, as the next snack was a macaroni pie from Auld Hag, a Scottish-speciality deli in London where James said he had already planned to go to the following day.

Haggis went up against black pudding in the next round, which saw Scotland take the lead in McAvoy’s rankings, which he followed with a reciting of Address to a Haggis by Rabbie Burns.

At the end of the video, Scotland took the win 3-2 over English snacks, which McAvoy celebrated with a fist pump and shouting “Mon Scotland!”.
