Lana Del Rey cancels Glasgow show over ‘lost singing voice’

Summertime Sadness singer Lana Del Rey has cancelled her live show at the Hydro next week.

Lana Del Rey has cancelled her upcoming Glasgow show after illness forced her to scrap her entire European tour.

The Summertime Sadness star was due to perform at the Hydro next Friday but said she had “lost my singing voice”.

Doctors have advised the 34-year-old to take four weeks off.

Announcing the cancellation, the New Yorker, who has previously told of her love for Glasgow after staying with friends there, apologised to fans for the “last-minute” cancellation.

She said: “Sorry to let everyone down but this illness has taken me by surprise and have totally lost my singing voice.

“I hate to let everyone down but I need to get well.”

Anyone who has purchased a ticket has been advised to contact their point of purchase.
