Sky Sports presenter Jo Wilson has revealed doctors found “no evidence of disease”, less than a year after she was diagnosed with stage three cervical cancer.
The mum-of-one announced on Instagram on Sunday that she was celebrating the news at a concert.
She wrote: “N.E.D. NO EVIDENCE OF DISEASE!!!
“I was going to write something profound but instead here’s a photo of me at a gig getting sozzled on champagne celebrating the news.
“Right now I don’t have the words. Just gratitude and love…and a hangover.”
The Scottish broadcaster told OK! magazine of the diagnosis in September 2022, and said she was undergoing life-saving radiotherapy and chemotherapy treatments.
Further testing confirmed that she had stage 3b cervical cancer – meaning the disease had spread to two of her lymph nodes.
She said she previously kept up to date with her smear tests but after a traumatic forceps delivery with her daughter Mabel in September 2020, she delayed going for a test as she feared “being prodded down there”.
The broadcaster, who has worked with Sky Sports News since 2015, said at the time that doctors had confirmed her cancer was “very treatable” and “very curable”.
