KT Tunstall is planning a new song for the long-awaited sequel to the hit movie, The Devil Wears Prada.
The Scottish singer-songwriter’s single ‘Suddenly I See’ was featured in the original film, propelling her to global fame.
In an exclusive interview with STV Radio’s breakfast show presenter Ewen Cameron, Tunstall explained: “There’s been no phone call [from the producers] yet, but I’m writing… I’m going to write a sequel song and just send it to them.
“It’s called ‘Suddenly I Saw’. I’m joking – it’s not called that””
She also discussed the excitement of hearing her song used in the movie for the first time in 2006, telling Ewen: “Oh, it was huge.
STV News“When it came out, I was on tour. And I had a bunch of guys in my band at the time – you know, indie boys – and we were in North Carolina or somewhere.
“We went to this tiny little cinema … sat down, [the] film starts, [the] song comes on [and] all the lads just jumped out of their seats. They were like, ‘yeah KT!’”
KT Tunstall’s full interview, in which she also discussed her resilience, working with Jim Kerr and celebrating 20 years of debut album ‘Eye to the Telescope’, will be available across STV Radio socials on Friday, November 7.
