Sea shanty star Nathan Evans has invited fans to be a part of his upcoming music video for Auld Lang Syne.
The singer, who shot to fame on social media platform TikTok by singing the traditional songs, made the plea on Twitter.
The Scot urged fans who have supported him on his “crazy journey” to send in videos of themselves singing the traditional New Year’s song for the chance to appear in the music video.
He said: “I’m making a special music video for my version of the legendary Auld Lang Syne.
“I want you, my fans who have been on this crazy journey of a year with me, to be in it.
“All you need to do is video yourself (or with friends, family, pets even better) singing along to the clip of Auld Lang Syne.”
Evans quit his job as a postman earlier this year after helping to kickstart a viral craze of sea-shantying on TikTok and signing a record deal with Polydor Records.
He went on to take the top spot in the UK singles chart with his track Wellerman, remixed by 220 Kid and Billen Ted.
Evans also performed at The Brits alongside host Jack Whitehall and took to the main stage at music festival TRNSMT earlier this year.
Videos can be submitted for the chance to appear in the music video on Evans’ website.
