Skate under the stars as Elfingrove returns with ice rink and disco

The festive event runs from December 2-24 at Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum in Glasgow.

Scots are being invited to skate under the stars at Scotland’s largest ice rink.

Elfingrove – which welcomed more than 175,000 visitors in 2019 – has once again transformed the grounds of Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum in Glasgow into a winter wonderland.

As well as the ice track – designed by the world-class team behind ITV’s Dancing on Ice – and magical light show, there’s also a Silent Snow Disco where you can get into the festive spirit with some Christmas bangers.

Visitors can also cosy up with a hot chocolate at the Mallow Cafe.

Nicola Wilkinson, head of operations with organiser itison, admitted that the 2019 event “wasn’t perfect”.

However, she added: “But Elfingrove 2021 is back with an absolute bang, totally new show, and we cannot wait for you all to see it.

“We have completely changed the event, completely changed the show. It is now an ice experience to rival the Rockefeller Center in New York or the Ice World in Vienna.”

Elfingrove will run from December 2-24.
