Scottish music festival TRNSMT is still set to go ahead this summer, organisers have announced.
Many events across the country have been cancelled amid the coronavirus outbreak, including the Royal Highland Show.
TRNSMT bosses said the festival is still scheduled to go ahead as planned, but they will monitor the situation in accordance with advice from the World Health Organisation, the UK and Scottish governments, and other public health bodies.
This year’s headliners include Courteeners, Liam Gallagher and Lewis Capaldi.
Rita Ora, Foals, Amy Macdonald, Twin Atlantic, Jimmy Eat World and Ian Brown are also scheduled to perform at the festival, which is due to take place at Glasgow Green between July 10-12.
On Thursday, organisers announced: “TRNSMT is still scheduled to go ahead as planned and we look forward to welcoming everyone to the event in 16 weeks.
“The health and safety of festival goers, staff and the surrounding community is our main priority and we are constantly monitoring the situation in accordance with advice from the World Health Organisation, Health Protection Scotland, UK and Scottish Government and local public health authorities.”
