Steve Coogan and a host of famous faces from popular Scottish TV programmes are backing a suicide prevention campaign in North Lanarkshire.
A dozen celebrity voices – including Gary Tank Commander’s Greg McHugh and Still Game’s Sanjeev Kohli – have offered useful tips to keep positive and get support as part of Suicide Prevention North Lanarkshire’s ‘You Matter’ campaign video.
The video is being launched ahead of Mental Health Awareness Week, which runs from May 18-24, and will highlight the range of support available to people.
Kohli said: “This is a hugely important message for people who are experiencing suicidal thoughts.
“It’s difficult to ask for help but support is there at the end of a phone. So talk to someone; you’ll be surprised how people respond. People do care.”
