DreamworksZendaya has joined the cast of Shrek 5 after a trailer for the new movie was released.
The Spider-Man and Dune actress joins Mike Myers, Eddie Murphy and Cameron Diaz for the movie, that’s to be released in cinemas around Christmas 2026.
It will be released sixteen years after the last movie in the franchise, Shrek Forever After, in 2010.
The films follow the life of an ogre and his family who live in a swamp.
The trailer, which dropped on social media on Thursday, is captioned “Far, Far Away’s finest are coming”.
A tweet from Zendaya in 2017 was also re-shared to the official account which read: “I watch Shrek too often in my adulthood”.
