Customers and staff were stunned when a ‘cheeky’ swan walked into a shop on a Scots isle.
The staff could not contain their shock when the bird confidently swanned into a Co-op branch at Port Ellen on Islay on Tuesday afternoon.
The grey-coloured swan waddled along the shop isles before approaching the staff who had taken refuge behind the checkout counter.
It is believed the bird came from a beach which lies just across the road from the shop.
Irene Gillies, who shared the video after it was sent to her by her nephew who was working in the shop, said: “The ladies were working in the co-op at the time when the Swan came strutting in.
“They’ve started coming up from the beach now which normally didn’t really happen before.
“Maybe that one is just a bit cheeky.
“He was after a bottle of Islay Malt maybe! But it was more than likely just some food he was after.”
