The A9 has been closed in both directions in Tain after a woman was struck by a car.
The collision occurred around 12.10pm at the busy road’s junction with Craighill Terrace on Sunday afternoon.
Emergency services attended the scene and the woman was taken to hospital
Drivers had been urged to avoid the area while the road was closed.
It later reopened around 4pm.
A police spokesperson said: “The A9 at the junction with Craighill Terrace in Tain has reopened following a crash involving a car and a female pedestrian which happened around 12.10pm on Sunday, May 25, 2025.
“Emergency services attended and the woman was taken to hospital for treatment.
“We would like to thank the public for their patience while the road was closed.”
