A major road in the Highlands has been closed in both directions after a two-vehicle crash on the A96.
Emergency services were called to the scene of a crash involving two vehicles at around 3pm on Tuesday near Wester Hardmuir Fruit Farm in Nairn.
Traffic Scotland confirmed the road was closed in both directions with diversions in place after 3.55pm.
As of 7.45pm, the road remains closed with drivers urged to expect delays to journeys.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “Around 3pm on Tuesday, May 28 2024 police received a report of a two vehicle crash on the A96 near Wester Hardmuir Fruit Farm, Nairn.
“Emergency services are in attendance.”
The Trunk Road Incident Support Service (TRISS) also attended the scene of the crash.
A Traffic Scotland post read: “The A96 is currently closed in both directions between Nairn and Forres due to a road traffic collision.
“Road users are advised to use a diversion route and allow extra time for their journey.”
The Scottish Ambulance Service have been contacted for comment.
