Human remains have been discovered by builders working at an address in the Highlands.
The bones were discovered at a property in the Scrabster area of Thurso at around 4.20pm on Wednesday.
Emergency services attended the scene and the bones were deemed to be historic, and no criminality was established.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 4.20pm on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, police were called to an address in Scrabster, Thurso, where bones had been discovered during building work.
“The bones were found to be historic, and no criminality was established.”
