A burst pipe located outside a hotel in Skye has left residents without water supply.
Scottish Water has confirmed they are working to repair the water mains outside the Hebridean Hotel in Broadford, which is causing disruption to the water supply for customers in the area.
A team was sent to repair the pipe overnight but further investigation found the fault was located towards the centre of the A87 roadway.
On Monday morning, Scottish Water confirmed that traffic management was set up on-site to ensure the safety of the public during the repairs.
A two-way temporary traffic light system has been put in place on the A87 while the repairs are under way.
Tankers are set to arrive in the area to distribute water into the network which will restore and maintain supplies for a large majority of customers whilst repairs are ongoing.
However, the water company warned people in the area that they may experience no water supply, low and intermittent pressure or discoloured water.
Bottled water remains available to collect from the car park at Talla Bhreacais, also known as Breakish Hall.
Bottled water will also be delivered door-to-door for customers who will remain without supply until repairs have been completed.
