STV NewsBridge visits on CalMac ferries have been paused due to an incident involving a passenger secretly filming using smart glasses.
The ferry operator said it had decided to suspend the visits after a member of the public filmed in a restricted area without permission.
The incident is believed to have happened on a route in the Outer Hebrides several weeks ago.
A spokesperson said: “We have temporarily paused bridge visits on vessels by members of the public after an incident where an individual filmed in a restricted area without permission.
“Our crews and port teams always welcome interest in CalMac, but their safety and well-being are our number one priority.”
The smart glasses technology was developed by Meta and incorporated into sunglass brands such as Ray-Ban and Oakley as a hands-free filming option.
