Concerns grow for the welfare of a missing hillwalker who is believed to be climbing Munro in Glencoe.

Ian Myles was last seen at around 9am on Thursday.

Police said it is believed the 77-year-old was climbing Bidean Nam Bian in Glencoe, but he has not returned.

Mr Myles is described as white, around 5ft 8in tall, with dark grey hair, a short dark greying beard, wearing glasses.

The force is urging anyone with information to come forward.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “Anyone who may have seen Ian, or who has any information on where he may be, is asked to contact police on 101 quoting reference 3437 of September 5, 2024.”
