Google MapsNHS Highland has issued a hot water contamination alert at Raigmore Hospital in Inverness.
The health board said the issue, which affects the hospital’s tower block, was discovered during a routine maintenance check.
Disinfection measures have taken place to reduce the risk to staff and patients, and further testing is to be carried out.
A spokesperson said: “NHS Highland takes the safety of our patients and staff very seriously and has taken expert advice throughout the process.
“Our patients and staff have been informed and we are very sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.”
