Body of woman found in home as police treat death as 'unexplained'

The death of a woman found in a property in the Highlands is being treated as unexplained by police.

Emergency services were called to the property on Morrison Court in Dornoch at around 4.40pm on Saturday.

Detectives are treating the death as unexplained. An investigation is ongoing.

Police remain on the scene.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 4.40pm on Saturday, February 21, 2026, officers were called to Morrison Court, Dornoch, following the death of a woman.

“Her death is being treated as unexplained, and enquiries are ongoing.”
