A driver has been charged after they were spotted driving on a major road in the Highlands with a cracked windscreen.
Police pulled over the car on the A96, near Forrest Road, Nairn, at around 9.50pm on Wednesday.
The driver, a 51-year-old man, told the force he was “still able to see”, despite the windscreen appearing to be completely shattered.
Officers confirmed that the man was charged with road traffic offences and the vehicle was prohibited.
In a statement, Police Scotland spokesperson added: “Around 9.50pm on Wednesday, June 8, road policing officers on routine patrol stopped a car on the A96 and Forrest Road, Nairn.
“The windscreen of the car was damaged and a 51-year-old man was charged in connection with road traffic offences.”
