The family of a bus driver who died at a station in Moray have said their world has been “shattered“.
Keith Rollinson, 58, died after officers were called to reports of an alleged assault in the St Giles Road area in Elgin at around 10.40pm on Friday, February 2.
The Stagecoach bus driver was taken to Dr Gray’s Hospital in Elgin where he later died.
A 15-year-old boy was arrested and later charged in connection with Mr Rollinson’s death and appeared at Elgin Sheriff Court on Monday charged with the murder of the 58-year-old.
He made no plea and was committed for further examination and remanded in custody until his next appearance, which is set to take place at a later date.
Mr Rollinson’s family, in a statement released via Police Scotland, said: “On Friday, 2 February the kindest, dedicated and loving husband and father was taken from us.
“Our world has been shattered I cannot see us ever getting over our loss of our rock.
“We would like to ask for privacy at this time to deal with the loss without intrusion.”
