A 32-year-old man who died after a crash in the Highlands has been named by police.
The collision, which happened on the A99 at Freswick Bridge on Sunday afternoon, involved a grey Vauxhall Vectra.
Garry Aikman, from Wick, was taken to Caithness General Hospital, where he died from his injuries.
His family said in a statement: “The whole family is devastated by the tragic loss of Garry. He was a much loved grandson, son, brother, father and nephew.
“His loss will be sorely felt by us all and we are still in shock. We would ask that we are given privacy to come to terms with what has happened.”
A 26-year-old woman and a three-month-old baby girl were taken to hospital with serious injuries.
Meanwhile, a three-year-old girl and two boys, aged six and eight, were also taken to hospital with minor injuries.
The road was closed for about seven hours while officers carried out an investigation.
Sergeant Kate Park said: “Our thoughts are with Garry’s family at this time. We are continuing with enquiries to establish the full circumstances of the crash.”
