iStockEmergency services are on the scene of a house fire in the Highland village of Kinlochleven.
Police said surrounding homes have been forced to evacuate after the blaze broke out at a property on Leven Road before 11am on Tuesday morning.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) has confirmed they have three appliances on scene, one from Kinlochleven and two from Fort William
Three appliances are en route, as are additional resource units.
Police have closed the road and say enquiries are ongoing into how the fire started.
A police spokesperson said: “Emergency services are in attendance at a house fire in Kinlochleven.
“We were called to the property on Leven Road around 11am on Tuesday, September 1, 2026.
“The road is closed and a number of neighbouring properties are being evacuated.
“Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances of the fire. Members of the public are asked to avoid the area.”
