A ten-year-old girl has been attacked by a dog which also attacked another dog in the Highlands.
Officers received a report of a girl and her dog being attacked by another dog in the Kirkside area of Alness around 7.10pm on Tuesday.
There were no serious injuries, police said.
A 36-year-old woman has been charged in connection with the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991.
She will be subject to a report to the Procurator Fiscal.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 7.10pm on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, we received a report that a dog attacked a ten-year-old girl and another dog in the Kirkside area of Alness.
“There were no serious injuries.
“A 36-year-old woman has been charged in connection with the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991 and will be subject to a report to the Procurator Fiscal.”
