A hiker who disappeared while walking the Cape Wrath Trail in the Highlands has been traced.
Ian Currie, from Edinburgh, disappeared in the Glenfinnan area on Tuesday, September 16 as he set off to walk the route.
He failed to arrive at Inverie Bunkhouse on Thursday, September 18 as planned and was reported missing to police.
Specialist officers including mountain rescue, search and rescue dogs association and Lochaber and Royal Air Force Mountain Rescue teams carried out extensive searches for the 76-year-old.
Police confirmed on Wednesday he had been traced and thanked those who had shared their appeal.
